La 66a edizione dei Grammy Awards, considerati come l’equivalente degli Oscar per il cinema, sono i premi assegnati dall’associazione della discografia americana e si sono svolti nella serata del 4 febbraio a Los Angeles, condotti per il quarto anno consecutivo dal comico e presentatore Trevor Noah.

Le donne, in questa edizione, hanno sicuramente dominato. A partire da Taylor Swift che, vincendo con il suo album Midnight, ha raggiunto il numero record di quattro premi per l’album dell’anno (prima di lei, leggende come Frank Sinatra, Stevie Wonder e Paul Simon si erano fermati a tre).

Tra le altre premiate troviamo Miley Cyrus e Billie Eilish, ma anche la cantante country Lainey Wilson e la popstar Karol G. Lo show è stato poi animato delle performance di SZA, la stessa Eilishe Cyrus, Dua Lipa, Olivia Rodrigo e veterane come Joni Mitchell e Tracy Chapman.

Jay-Z non ha perso occasione per criticare gli stessi Grammy per aver parecchie volte snobbato gli artisti neri, facendo riferimento anche all’ultimo disco della moglie Beyoncé, Renaissance, praticamente ignorato da questi premi.

Come ogni show ce si rispetti anche questo ha avuto la sua dose di colpi di scena, anche abbastanza eclatante: dopo aver vinto tre statuette, il rapper Killer Mike infatti è stato arrestato proprio all’arena in cui si svolgeva la cerimonia, sembrerebbe per aggressione.
